Careers
In the past few years, Aero Automatic Sprinkler Co. has begun recruiting new office personnel from four-year degree programs at universities across the southwest. Degrees that are most sought after to fill new positions are: Construction Management, Engineering Management and Mechanical Engineering. These degrees focus on the necessary technical training in mathematics and scientific theories and build a strong foundation for a future in the field of construction. Aero not only looks for intelligent, knowledgeable students but we strive to attract individuals who are driven to contribute to the team and possess good communication skills.
In the search for new talent, we consider an internship opportunity a great way for both the prospective employee and Aero to learn more about each other. Given the niche industry of fire protection sprinklers, it is not often that one becomes well-versed in design layout or installation practices through university courses. Aero offers its new employees a three-month, in-house training program that ranges from the basics and fundamentals of sprinkler system design and theory through the advanced hydraulic calculations required to ensure proper system function.
During the course of the internship program, a student will learn a variety of roles from experienced system designers, estimators, construction superintendents and project managers. Depending on the focus of the student's major, additional time can be allotted to one specific aspect of the business however each intern will be exposed to each of the following categories.
