History

AERO’S BEGINNING

Gary Beyschau founded Aero Automatic Sprinkler Co. in 1985 to serve the Phoenix metro area. The company started out with just a few projects but, within the year, the number increased to 20. Aero’s first contracts included numerous schools and industrial facilities. In 1986, Aero was awarded the first of several projects being constructed for the City of Phoenix, which would catapult the business to what it is today.

In the late 80s, the company secured contracts with other key customers, providing fire sprinkler systems for some high-profile projects including Arizona State University, City of Chandler, Kraft Foods, U-Haul, Sky Harbor Airport, Herberger Theater, Arizona Center, Goodyear Airport, Scottsdale Airpark, AZ DOT, Maricopa County Juvenile Court and Peoria Municipal Complex.

ARIZONA AND BEYOND

In the 90s, Aero began to pursue opportunities with existing customers outside of Arizona and was awarded projects in California, Texas, Indiana and Louisiana. In 1998, Aero began design on the first of what would be several specialized installations to protect automated storage facilities in unique rack-support structures. The first was in Texas and included more than 27,000 sprinkler heads.

Today, Aero has provided its services in more than 10 states and plans to continue to expand its reach to accommodate the company’s loyal customers.

THE MILLENNIUM

As the economy grew in the early 2000s, so did Aero. With the increase in projects, our company staff grew to more than 200 people, expanding all departments to successfully complete projects such as the Arizona Cardinals Stadium, Phoenix Convention Center and Sky Harbor Rental Car Center in the local area. In California, Aero provided design-build services for a retrofit to a 115,500 square-foot hangar at the San Bernardino International Airport, one of several Special Hazards projects Aero has successfully completed over the years.

FUNDAMENTALS

Over the years, Gary Beyschau put together a team of people focused on providing the highest quality product at a fair price. This simple business philosophy proved to be successful and now, Aero has grown to be one of the largest fire sprinkler contractors in the Southwest.
